💼 Paid Special Projects
Students earn $20–$30/hr; experienced professionals earn $35–$75/hr. Mission-connection-based, up to 10 hours per month.
🎓 Academic Credit
Earn credit through an internship, practicum, field experience, independent study, research experience, or equivalent — we coordinate with your school.
🤝 Combined Experience
Pair academic credit with separately assigned paid projects — the full Voice Up experience.

Every internship follows a guided eight-week structure — context, evidence-based frameworks, discussion questions, reflections, and real-world activities that build week by week.
Connected to Your Purpose
Dig deep on the area that calls to you. Connect it to your own passions. Then figure out how to use what you learn to help other people. That is purpose in practice.

Purpose & Public Health Media Network Fellowship
A first-of-its-kind fellowship open to student athletes, journalists, historians, nurses, entrepreneurs, artists, and musicians. Help build a media network organized around one mission: we connect people to purpose. Remote. $20–$30/hr or academic credit.
Perceptions with Impact
Perceptions with Impact is Voice Up's full-service motion picture and media division. The division releases at least three short films a year, sharing the inspiring and innovative stories of real people connecting their lived experience to purpose.
The division is now accepting ideas, stories, and innovators who want to be part of this new initiative. All are welcome. Sports & Mental Health Fellow
Help make sports a stronger environment for human flourishing. Explore how athletes can compete, grow, lead, and succeed while supporting their mental and emotional well-being. Paid special projects, academic credit, or a combined experience.
Public Service & Civic Storytelling Internship
Built around the IMO podcast interview where Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson — the first Black woman on the U.S. Supreme Court — sits down with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson. Study her journey from a kitchen table in Miami to the highest court in the land, connect it to the science of purpose and the Naming Gap Trilogy, and produce original content that helps young people see public service as a path to purpose.
